European Voluntary Service

Support local communities and learn new skills

ServizioVolontarioEuropeo

The European Voluntary Service (EVS) is open to everyone at the age between 18 and 30 years old and legally resident in one of the countries of EU.

The European Voluntary Service benefits the local communities in which the project takes place and allows volunteers to learn new skills and to develop personally and professionally (though EVS is not to be confused with a period of study or training abroad, neither is a training nor an internship).

The volunteers involved in projects receive refund of travel expenses to 90% and a monthly pocket money, the amount of which varies depending on the country. Accommodation, food, insurance and language school are offered by the project. Special conditions apply to encourage the participation of young people with fewer opportunities.

The development and certification of skills acquired during their service is guaranteed by the release at the end of the project a certificate Youth Pass.

The Misericordia di Firenze ONLUS enthusiastically participated in this important European project, offering itself both as a coordinator and host of projects registered with the European Commission as "EVS Accredited Organisations".
